I Lost 5 Pounds In Four Days While Battling With Stomach Illness – Cardi B

Cardi B has revealed she lost five pounds in four days because of stomach illness that landed her in the hospital last week.
The 27-year-old rap star wrote in a since-deleted tweet that she was ‘throwing up everything I swallow,’ resulting in her weight loss.
She was responding to a Twitter user who accused her of exploiting her celebrity status to get hospitalized amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Twitter user wrote: ‘one thing that has been ticking me is that there’s a close friend of my aunt’s that has the coronavirus and she went to the hospital but they told her, to go home they can’t serve her. So she’s been stuck at home with the rest of her family without getting help.’
She went on: ‘But then I go on social media and see Cardi B at the hospital because she “thinks” she has the virus and getting the help she needs. I know celebs have advantages, but this is someone’s life.’
The Twitter user concluded: ‘You can allow a celeb (who, by the way can help with a few donations and help the hospital) who thinks they have the virus to enter the hospital, (She ended up not having it) than an individual who does have it. Okay. The world is a mess.’
Cardi retorted: ‘Ummmmmm I was literally throwing up everything I swallow and lost 5 pounds in 4days do to stomach issues. NOT CAUSE OF THE RONA.You can still go to the hospital for other problems you kno.’

THE CHAD MILITARY BATTLE WITH BOKO HARAM - Leader Leneke

I am however glad they eventually felt the pinch of what the menace of Boko Haram feels like and had woken from their slumber and nonchalance.

The Nigerian media especially the social media is awash and inundated. Nigerians are celebrating the same Chad which became the supply route and facilitated the influx of arms, ammunition and other sophisticated weaponry from Libya and other parts of East Africa through their poriferous borders into Nigeria thereby aiding the growth and spread of Boko Haram by arming them. Remember how both Presidents Jonathan and Buhari had visited Chad at different times on this issue. The same Chad that became the home ground where Boko Haram always retreated to, when they are faced with heavy battle from the Nigerian Military. The same Chad where all the lootings of Boko Haram from Nigeria were always taken to.
Much as I am not happy gallant Chadian soldiers lost their lives to these idiotic vagabonds, morons, cast-outs (Boko Haram), I am however glad they eventually felt the pinch of what the menace of Boko Haram feels like and had woken from their slumber and nonchalance. You will never find me praising Chad on my page for dealing a big blow on the monster they helped create in the first place.

I am not a Buhari fan, far from it, not a fan of the poor job our military had been doing with Boko Haram since the days of Jonathan, I have always raised my small voice whenever I could in this respect, but, I will not in all honestly sit here and pretend, lie to myself by believing that the Chadian army I saw in the viral videos making rounds on the social media are better trained or equipped than the Nigerian military.

I do not even think they deserve more accolades than our soldiers who had, and continue to pay the supreme price in their numbers since this war started years ago. Nigeria has lost some of its finest young men in the cause of this war and my heart still goes out to their grieving families.
I also do not agree that the Chadians are better equipped (from the pictures of their trucks and equipment), don't believe they are better trained. But I think they are more disciplined.

Now here is my take if anything and it is my personal opinion:

LEADERSHIP

Our military, sadly, is not motivated. The moral of the soldiers is at its lowest as their top commanders largely only send out commands and instructions from their comfort zones without any feeling of empathy while seeping tea, wine and whiskey (depending on which side you are talking about).
In Chad, it was in fact the C-in-C himself who personally went down to the battlefield with his men to boost their confidence. He drank tradition tea with them in the bush from the same teapot. Those soldiers couldn't have done any less than they did.
Now that is what leadership is.

POLITICS

Our fight is largely politicised. We are yet to accept and come to terms with this horror as well as see it as a common enemy and challenge to all of us as a nation. You still hear even educated folks talk about our North and South divide, PDP and APC nonsense. We are mostly caught arguing the fight along with tribe and creed. Shamefully, this is the way of Nigeria. But until we can rise above these mundane and primordial sentiments and mindset, then woe betide us.
Chadians saw it as an affront, an insult, a challenge and disgrace to their national sovereignty notwithstanding what political or religious belief the miscreants represented.

CORRUPTION

Nigeria budgeted almost N1 trillion the previous year and later asked Congress to approve an additional $2billion (I stand to be corrected) only to wage this war. I am told Chad's entire National budget is barely about that $2 billion. Not to mention the previous budgets of the other year's since this terrible, unfortunate war came on us. The question is, where do all that money go? Well, when you see the untouchable lifestyle of affluence, royalty, and pageantry our military generals and their families live. Your answer will be as good as mine.

SENSE OF DUTY

There is a need for a total national re-orientation. We have lost our sense of national duty, our military inclusive. The military no longer feels they have any reason to sacrifice their lives. They no longer believe Nigeria is worth dying for. And sadly, they may be right. They have seen how the memory of our heroes past is not offered any much and how families of fallen men are almost left to beg for their livelihood. Perhaps they feel if the nation demands duty and loyalty from them, they also want to know how far, to what extent, what degree and what sacrifice the nation is willing to offer for them.

We are Nigeria and I believe there is so much we can do and achieve but only if we can make certain amends. We have all it takes to defeat Boko Haram and we can defeat Boko Haram totally but only if we change course and I believe the Chadians had thrown a big challenge at BIG BROTHER AFRICA; NIGERIA. The factors I enumerated above are in no way exhaustive but I believe they can be a good place to start if we really want to scale back this dark cloud that has befallen us as a Nation.
